    One person has died and five have been injured after a crash in Northland early this morning


    Police were called to the single-car-crash on State Highway 12 in Ruawai around 2:20am.

    One person died at the scene and three others sustained serious injuries.

    St John Ambulance says two others with moderate and minor injuries were also transported to Northland Base Hospital.
