    Police are appealing for information on crash that left a Whakatane pedestrian dead


    Emergency services were called to the intersection of State Highway 30 and Thornton Road about 4pm yesterday.

    The pedestrian died in Waikato Hospital this morning.

    Police want to hear from anyone with helpful information or people with dashcam crash footage.
