Tauranga's community New Year's Eve events have been cancelled due to bad weather

Tauranga's community New Year's Eve events have been cancelled due to bad weather

The City Council says weather reports indicate significant rain bands and strong wind gusts tomorrow, with conditions likely to continue into Wednesday.

All five community events have been cancelled but the council says fireworks displays may still be able to go ahead.

Weather permitting, these will take place at approximately 9.30 and midnight to welcome the New Year.
