Manawatu are content to play each week by ear over the availability of Aaron Smith

Manawatu are content to play each week by ear over the availability of Aaron Smith

The All Blacks halfback is unavailable for tomorrow night's game against Wellington in Palmerston North, with the birth of his second child imminent.

Smith missed last week's game against Southland too, but coach Peter Russell accepts they're lucky to have him whenever he can play given the unique circumstances.
