One person's been arrested in Palmerston North, and another remains on the run, following a burglary and shooting

Officers were sent to Vogel Street just after 9.30 last night.

Upon arrival, police found two men leaving the address.

One of them pulled out a firearm and shot it, before getting into a vehicle and driving off.

    No one was hurt.

A second man was arrested at the scene, and is due to appear at Palmerston North District Court today, on charges relating to burglary with a weapon.

Police want to speak to anyone in the area around the time of the incident, or anyone with any other helpful information.
