    Several people are believed to have been injured in a serious crash in Hawke's Bay


    Emergency services were called to the crash between a truck and car on Anderson Road in Whakatu about 7.30 this morning.

    Meanwhile, one person has died after a single-car crash near Ashburton.

    Police say their vehicle appears to have hit a concrete barrier about 9.30 last night.
