Police have reopened the case of a man who's body was found on a remote West Coast beach in 1998

Police have reopened the case of a man who's body was found on a remote West Coast beach in 1998

David Robinson's body was found in Kakapotahi - the then-25-year old had suffered a gunshot to his head about ten days prior.

Homicide detectives have returned to the area, hoping the passing of time may have changed peoples' views on speaking to police about what they saw or heard at the time.

Anyone with information is being asked to email police via the Cold Case form on the New Zealand Police website
