The West Coast presents two very different stories in the era of Covid-19

The West Coast presents two very different stories in the era of Covid-19

A new report shows domestic tourism spending in the Buller District was up 22 per cent last year.

This is in stark contrast to the embattled Glacier Country - which ia suffering from a loss of international tourists.

Buller District mayor Jamie Cleine says its tourism has always suited the domestic market.

He says it's reasonably accessible and not as isolated as the Glacier Country - while offering a good mix of activities.
