An Orange Warning issued by MetService is continuing to remain in force on the West Coast

An Orange Warning issued by MetService is continuing to remain in force on the West Coast

About 100 millimetres of rain has fallen in Westport alone since 6 last night.

Forecasters had predicted about 100-150 mils of rain to fall north of Fox Glacier along with Buller and Nelson Lakes overnight.

But rain is expected to clear.

MetService meteorologist Alwyn Bakker says the orange warning will be reviewed at 10am.
