An air conditioning fault has caused an Air New Zealand flight from Christchurch to Auckland to make an emergency landing at Nelson Airport

Chief safety officer, David Morgan says flight NZ5966 landed safely just after 7 this morning.

He says there were no passengers onboard, as it was a repositioning flight - and the aircraft will be assessed by engineering and maintenance teams.
