Damian McKenzie will make his New Zealand rugby return on Friday in Invercargill ahead of the All Blacks hosting Ireland on Saturday in Dunedin

He's back from Japan - and straight into club action for Woodlands against Star.

New Zealand Rugby's stipulated the 27-year-old has to play NPC before being considered for national selection.

That's unless an exemption is sought via the NZR board - as has been the case this week with Patrick Tuipulotu.
