A community support group in Queenstown is raising the alarm over the impacts of visa changes

A community support group in Queenstown is raising the alarm over the impacts of visa changes

Updates to the Accredited Employer Working Visa scheme, were implemented in early April.

Happiness Homes Manager Léna Boss says Queenstown needs migrant workers - and many are having to leave earlier than expected because of the changes.

She's concerned it will be difficult for employers to find people to do the jobs, others don't want to do.

Immigration Minister Erica Stanford is standing by the changes, but appreciates employing migrants where Kiwis aren't available is challenge for Queenstown.
