    About one thousand insurance claims have been lodged following this month's Otago floods


    An Insurance Council spokesperson says the number's an estimate, and may change as people assess impacts on their homes, contents and vehicles.

    Dunedin City Council has checked 78 properties ... 11 have been red-stickered, 37 yellow-stickered, and 11 marked white.
