An active summer's on the cards for the Queenstown Lakes District

An active summer's on the cards for the Queenstown Lakes District

Forward bookings are up six-percent from this time last year, with about 200-thousand people scheduled to visit over the holiday period.

Mayor Glyn Lewers says Queenstown's bucking the trend when it comes to tourism.

He says the hotspot's bounced back strongly from Covid, and is the country's only airport to have more passenger arrivals than 2019.
