Wellington have successfully defended a meagre total of 104 for eight to win the women's T20 Super Smash final over Otago in the capital

The home-town Blaze were restricted well by the Otago bowlers, but then dished out some revenge when they took the white ball - holding the Sparks to 96 for nine.

Captain Melie Kerr says it's a special win for their supporters.

Wellington's Australian import Hannah Darlington was named player of the match after 26 with the bat and four for 16 with the ball.
