Visitors and locals are set to benefit from a multi-million dollar investment into active travel in Queenstown

Visitors and locals are set to benefit from a multi-million dollar investment into active travel in Queenstown

The Transport Agency has approved 14 million dollars for walking and cycling tracks, in a partnership between Queenstown Lakes District Council and Otago Regional Council.

The 'Way to Go' partnership will improve and expand the 190 kilometres of existing tracks - to encourage more people to cycle or walk.

Destination Queenstown chief executive, Graham Budd says it'll be great for the region.

He says anything that's good for the local community to get around more readily is also good for visitors.
