    Two people have died in two separate crashes overnight


    Police have confirmed one person died following a crash on Old North Road in Waimauku last night, in West Auckland.

    In South Canterbury, a person died after a crash at the intersection of State Highway 1 and Rangitata Island Road near Ealing.

    And in Auckland this morning, police say people have serious injuries after a crash in the suburb of Hillsborough.

    Police remain at the scene between Goodall Street and Richardson Road...and diversions are in place.
