    A big win for table-toppers Otago in the Hallyburton-Johnstone Shield - the women's domestic one-day cricket competition


    The Sparks have crushed Northern Districts by 186 runs in Dunedin, with White Fern Suzie Bates producing a knock of 107 to steer her side to 256 all out.

    In reply, Northern Districts were skittled for just 70, with international spinner Eden Carson picking up a five-wicket bag.

    Elsewhere, the Wellington Blaze knocked off the Auckland Hearts by 102 runs at the Eden Park outer oval, while the Central Hinds beat the Canterbury Magicians by seven wickets in New Plymouth.
