They were arrested during an operation dubbed Operation Pakari - which ran from late January 2022, until June the following year.

Inspector Mike Bowman says the offending included drive-by shootings, and violent assaults which left people critically injured.

A total of 21 people were charged, with six facing trial in Christchurch last month.

They've been found guilty on a total of 12 charges, including wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, kidnapping, and injuring with intent to injure.
