First there was Shrek the wooly sheep and now there's Mrs Gizzy Shrek

First there was Shrek the wooly sheep and now there's Mrs Gizzy Shrek

Gisborne farmer Rob Faulkner has finally nabbed a giant sheep that has eluded him for five years.

This follows the discovery of the original Shrek from Central Otago's Tarras that became world famous in 2004

Faulkner reckons the woolly ewe will give Shrek a good run for his money.

He says the 60 centimetres long fleece is the longest he's ever seen

Faulkner says the sheep has been hiding out in a forestry back paddock.
