    A late surge has guided the Black Sox to a big opening win at the softball World Championships in the Czech Republic


    New Zealand's trounced the hosts 9-nil, after batter Ben Enoka blasted a three-run shot over the outfield in the sixth inning.

    He says it was just one of the hits that came his way which then helped with momentum.

    The Black Sox take on Cuba in their next game early Sunday morning.
