Hayden Wilde has claimed his maiden World Triathlon Championship Series win in England

Hayden Wilde has claimed his maiden World Triathlon Championship Series win in England

The Olympic bronze medallist has described the moment as 'bittersweet', admitting fault for a bike crash which ended the hopes of British rivals Jonny Brownlee and Alex Yee, not to mention Kiwi teammate Dylan McCullough.

Wilde sits second in the series standings ahead of the third round in Montreal.
