    Sam Ruthe's coach Craig Kirkwood is refusing to put a limit on the teenage phenom's future in middle-distance running


    The 16-year-old's broken Sir John Walker's overall national record in the mile by two tenths of a second with a three minutes 48.88 dash at an indoor meet in Boston.

    Kirkwood is as intrigued as anyone about the future.
