Toby Gualter has run down triathlon ace Hayden Wilde, to win the men's 5000-metres race at the Track and Field Nationals at Trusts Stadium, Waitakere

Toby Gualter has run down triathlon ace Hayden Wilde, to win the men's 5000-metres race at the Track and Field Nationals at Trusts Stadium, Waitakere

Wilde led throughout but Gualter ran him down on the final lap to win in a time of 13 minutes 59 seconds.

Kiwi golfer Nick Voke's slipped out of the lead to sit in a share of second, one shot behind, late on day two of the Japan-Australasia Championship in Auckland.

Voke fired a sizzling six-under-par 66 at the Royal Auckland and Grange, for eight under overall.

Japan's Kohei Okada led on nine under, with two holes to play, a short time ago.

And Warriors veteran Roger Tuivasa-Sheck is daring to dream of bringing his Kiwi club a maiden NRL title - their season-opener is at Mt Smart tonight against the Sydney Roosters.
