    Perseverance has paid immediate dividends for high jumper Hamish Kerr


    He's bounced back from the depths of disappointment in missing the final at the world championships in Budapest with a best outdoor clearance of 2.33 metres at the Diamond League in Zurich.

    He placed second behind Qatari Mutaz Essa Barshim.

    Kerr says a Croatian sojourn provided the perfect tonic.
