The American-based 22-year-old's smashed the national 1500 metre record by more than two seconds - and run a personal best of almost 4 seconds - at the USA Track and Field meet in Los Angeles.
Ramsden's time of 4 minutes 2.58 seconds blitzes the previous New Zealand 1500 metre mark set by Nikki Hamblin in 201.
It's also just .08 of a second outside the entry standard for this year's Paris Olympics.
However - an off day for Tom Walsh.
He's finished seventh of eight in the men's shot put - his best throw of 21.02 metres well down on his season's best.
