    An array of personal bests and maiden titles have been claimed at the Potts Classic athletics event in Hawke's Bay


    16-year-old Sam Ruthe upset two-time Olympian Sam Tanner in the 800 metre by eight hundredths of a second with an under-20 national record time of 1.45.86 .

    Ruthe snuck under the World Indoor Championships entry standard time.

    Sprinters Tiaan Whelpton and Zoe Hobbs took out their respective inaugural NZ Short Track Championships 60m titles.
