    A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Makarau, near Auckland

    A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Makarau, near Auckland


    Police responded to the crash on West Coast Road around 1:30 this afternoon.

    The motorcyclist died at the scene.

    The road is closed and diversions are in place, police are asking motorists to avoid the area.
