Kiwi cyclist Campbell Stewart missed out on a bronze medal in the men's scratch race at the Track World Championships in Chile, despite seemingly crossing the line in third place

The officials determined the leaders had completed the distance on the previous lap.

Olympic champion Ellesse Andrews was knocked out in the women's sprint quarter-finals ... but the men's team pursuit claimed the bronze medal.

A fitting farewell for the Canterbury men's rugby team at Christchurch's temporary stadium.

The venue's reached full capacity for the first time since it became their home in 20-12 - with 15,900 tickets snapped up for tomorrow's NPC final against Otago.

Canterbury captain Tom Christie says the team set a target a few years back to fill the stands.

Kickoff is at 4.05pm tomorrow ... we'll have live commentary on Gold Sport and iHeart Radio.

Warriors boss Cameron George has welcomed the retention of halfback Luke Metcalf.

The 26-year-old's signed an extension through to the end of the 2028 season, following a Dally M calibre start to his 2025 campaign before a season-ending ACL injury in round 17.

George says each party has faith in what's being built at Mt Smart.

Shockwaves in US basketball ... after Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier and Portland Trailblazers coach Chauncey Billups were arrested as part of an FBI investigation.

They've been caught up in a probe into illegal sports betting and rigged poker games backed by the mafia.

Rozier's accused of playing a role using insider NBA information.

Billups' charges relate to the poker scheme, where members of the public were unknowingly involved in fixed contests.
