    Investment in water infrastructure - but some community facilities and upgrades face the chop


    Wellington City Councillors have voted on proposed cuts to the city's Long Term Plan.

    They've proposed demolishing the Botanical Gardens' Begonia House - and plan to chop upgrades for venues and a development of Frank Kitts Park.

    They still plan to spend 1.8 billion on water infrastructure - and supports pedestrianising central city streets.

    Councillor Sarah Free commended the Mayor's support of the plan.

    She says Wellingtonians knew this was the sort of thing she was going to support.
