Unity and progress are on the Wellington mayor's Christmas wish-list after what she's calling a difficult year

Tory Whanau says 2024 hasn't been easy, but she's looking forward to recharging over the break to lead Wellington into 2025.

She admits the capital city's in a tough transitional period.

But Whanau says she's tired of political division and says everyone needs to continue to work together positively to make progress.
