The vehicle rolled with six on board, into a swollen swimming hole at Waikainga Stream on Friday afternoon.

The four others were taken to hospital with minor to moderate injuries.

Far North District Councillor Felicity Foy, says the incident has upset many in Peria, and the surrounding Fern Flat area.
