    Research shows positive impacts of Wellington City Council's renting scheme


    The council's increasing its Te Kainga apartments, re-purposing under-utilised commercial buildings as affordable rentals.

    Research company Sense Partners says residents' savings are redistributed into the city.

    It estimates one-thousand tenants equates to more than 850-thousand dollars of additional retail spend.
