    Former Christchurch City Councillor and former Newstalk ZB host James Daniels is quitting his run for a seat at the council table


    He announced his bid for the Coastal ward in May - four years after his resignation from the seat sparked a 65-thousand dollar by-election.

    Daniels says his personal situation has changed, and he's no longer able to stand for the role to his full ability.
