Hamiltonians now have the ability to rent a car at the click of a button

Hamiltonians now have the ability to rent a car at the click of a button

A new car share app, Loop, has been launched by the Hamilton City Council and Waikato car dealership, Ebbett.

Cars can be hired by the minute on the app, connecting customers to the nearest communal car parked around the city.

Its being trialled for three years in a bid to reduce the number of cars on the road.

Hamilton's Growth and Infrastructure Chair Dave Macpherson says the scheme will increase social inclusion by having affordable vehicles for public use.
