National's Finance spokesman Paul Goldsmith still feels his job is safe after making a four billion dollar blunder to an economic plan

National's Finance spokesman Paul Goldsmith still feels his job is safe after making a four billion dollar blunder to an economic plan

The party claimed an extra 19-billion-dollars would be available if it suspends Super Fund contributions over the next decade - but there was only about 15-billion.

Finance spokesman Paul Goldsmith says mistakes are sometimes made and he's owned up to them.

Goldsmith says he's not worried about reports that leader Judith Collins favours Andrew Bayly for the job.

He says it's like cricket and after taking a stupid shot and going out -- you go out the next day to score runs.
