Auckland's Heart of the City boss wants a crackdown on violent crime ... around the country

Police are investigating a serious firearms incident where shots were fired at the Sofitel Hotel on the Viaduct, yesterday morning.

Heart of the City chief executive, Viv Beck, says its' a worry for businesses, staff and customers.

But she doesn't think it's a central Auckland problem.
