ASB is warning of a social media scam targeting Pasifika communities here and in the Pacific Islands

The bank says scammers have created fake profiles with Polyfest logos and branding, claiming to sell tickets and live streaming links for people to watch the upcoming event.

Victims are asked to pay for fake tickets or access to the livestream via fraudulent payment links, which are used to steal card information.

Scammers have also been sharing fraudulent links for the funeral of Efeso Collins.

Legitimate Polyfest tickets will only be sold on the iTICKET NZ site and the event will be livestreamed for free on the ASB Polyfest website.
