New figures show the US has overtaken Australia, to become our second largest export destination

New figures show the US has overtaken Australia, to become our second largest export destination

Stats NZ says China retains the top trading partner spot.

New Zealand exported about nine-billion-dollars worth of goods last year -- almost double the figures of a decade ago -- fuelled by Americans consuming more Kiwi meat.

But it's an unequal relationship -- and New Zealand isn't on the top 50 countries selling to the US.

Our Government is still in the dark on whether we'll be included in Donald Trump's tariff plan.
