Secondary school teachers say they're considering a revised offer from the Government for the settlement of their collective agreement

Secondary school teachers say they're considering a revised offer from the Government for the settlement of their collective agreement

The PPTA says the offer includes more money for pay, but says it's spread unevenly across the teaching workforce and sits below inflation.

More than 19-thousand seven-hundred teachers are affected, and have until Thursday to vote.

PPTA President Chris Abercrombie says the Government has still failed to meaningfully address the needs of secondary schools and students.

Meanwhile NZEI primary teachers are also weighing up a new pay offer, with a decision expected today.
