    A view that New Zealand businesses were probably spooked by Donald Trump's tariffs


    Stats NZ will reveal the GDP figure for quarter two, just before 11 this morning.

    ANZ is picking a 0.4 percent contraction.

    ANZ Chief Economist Sharon Zollner says those tariffs are likely to have made an impact.

    She says businesses probably paused their investment and employment decisions.
