    Introducing financial literacy to schools is expected to bring more gains than challenges


    It's now a core part of the social sciences curriculum, rolling out this year for Year 1-to-10 students, covering budgeting, saving, and investing.

    Banqer CEO Simon Brown says the main challenge will be that teachers already have full plates, and this adds to their workload.

    He says not all teachers will feel confident teaching financial concepts - but these challenges can be overcome by ensuring teachers have good resources.
