ANZ Chief Economist Sharon Zollner says a recession is not inevitable

ANZ Chief Economist Sharon Zollner says a recession is not inevitable

GDP fell 0.2 percent in this year's first quarter ... a worse result than most economists' predictions of slow or no growth.

Zollner says predicting GDP and growth now is more about how much the economy could produce, rather than actual demand.

She says it appears there was more disruption in the first three months of 2022 -- but odds are we'll make that back in the second quarter, which should be pretty solid.
