    Net migration has finally slowed, but Kiwis are still leaving in unprecedented numbers


    Latest Stats NZ figures show net migration gain of 83-thousand people in the year to May -- down 14-thousand from the year before.

    More than 138-thousand people have left - including a record 85-thousand-600 citizens.

    220-thousand migrants arrived, the majority from India and Philippines.
