Job ads continue to decline, as unemployment rises
19 July 2024
Seek data shows the number of job ads dropped by eight percent in June - and by 35 percent year-on-year.
Applications per ad increased by one percent last month.
Country manager Rob Clark says the fall in job ads is in line with the current economic climate, and the growing unemployment rate.
He says it's a widespread problem, and consumer and business confidence will continue to be low if unemployment keeps increasing.
