Another captain's knock from Suzie Bates for the Otago Sparks

The skipper's powered her side to a place in the women's Twenty20 Super Smash decider, with a 29-run win over the Auckland Hearts in the elimination final.

Bates finished with 75 off 62 balls, pass 500 runs for the season.

But she won't get carried away by personal numbers, as she looks ahead to the final against the Wellington Blaze.

The men's Super Smash final will see the Northern Brave face Canterbury, after the Kings defeated the Wellington Firebirds by six wickets in their eliminator.
