Dame Lisa Carrington has come to the rescue for New Zealand's K4 women's kayak squad

Dame Lisa Carrington has come to the rescue for New Zealand's K4 women's kayak squad

The eight time Olympic gold medallist had planned on taking a year away from competition in 2025 - as part of a slow build towards the Los Angeles Games.

She's been summoned as an injury replacement however - after Olivia Brett suffered an injury to her arm in training.

Carrington joins Alicia Hoskin, Tara Vaughan and Lucy Matehaere - they'll compete at the World Championships in Milan later this month.
