    The Silver Ferns have trimmed their squad for tonight's opening Constellation Cup netball test against Australia in Melbourne


    Parris Mason has dropped out, leaving interim captain Karin Burger, Kelly Jackson and Catherine Hall as the circle defence options.



    Gavin Larsen is back with the Black Caps.

    The former New Zealand cricketer has returned as selection manager, a job he held between 20-15 and 20-23.

    Larsen then moved on to roles with English county Warwickshire , and basketball's Nelson Giants.



    A silver medal treble for New Zealand riders on the opening day of the Para-cycling track world championships in Brazil.

    Nicole Murray, Devon Briggs and Siobhan Terry have all finished runner-ups in their respective classes.
