A late addition to the New Zealand men's cricket squad for the T20 World Cup

A late addition to the New Zealand men's cricket squad for the T20 World Cup

Pace bowler Ben Sears will join the side as a travelling reserve ahead of the competition, starting next weekend in India and Sri Lanka .

Sears takes the place of fellow quick Kyle Jamieson, who was pulled into the main squad, after Adam Milne's hamstring injury.

The Black Caps open their tournament against Afghanistan in Chennai next Sunday.

Former All Blacks coach John Mitchell will remain a thorn in the side of the Black Ferns.

He's been locked in as head coach of England's Red Roses women's team for the next World Cup cycle.

Mitchell's re-signed with the reigning champions until 20-29's tournament in Australia.
