    High hopes for one of the Hurricanes' newest recruits


    Wellington-born Japan international lock Warner Dearns has joined on sabbatical for the 20-26 Super Rugby Pacific season.

    Canes coach Clark Laidlaw says Dearns is a great athlete.



    Dearns will debut for the Hurricanes when they open their season against Moana Pasifika at Sky Stadium tonight - live commentary on Gold Sport and iHeart Radio.
